Located north of Dayton, Vandalia is a community that offers the best of both worlds; a growing commercial center with an influx of new businesses coming into the area while maintaining the friendly, caring small-town atmosphere.  Home of the Dayton International Airport and centrally located at the I-70/I-75 Crossroads of America highways, it is no wonder that businesses have found Vandalia a desirable place to expand.

As with many communities in the Dayton area, parks and recreation play an important role in the Vandalia community as well. Access to bike/walking trails, Castle Hills golf course, and a 100-acre indoor/outdoor sports complex offer residents so many options to satisfy their needs. An event not to miss is the Annual Community Egg Hunt each Spring.

The Vandalia Art Park serves as an 8-acre walkable art exhibit and adds to the many amenities within the City of Vandalia. Residents enjoy a variety of activities and art exhibits available throughout the year.

With Dayton being the Birthplace of Aviation and home to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, it goes without saying one of the best aeronautic shows around is the Dayton Air Show. This summer event is a weekend packed with heart-pounding air performances and often features the Navy Blue Angels.
