Centerville & Washington Township
Centerville/Washington Township is a community that boasts wonderful parks - large and small located in all their neighborhoods. It is known as an Open Space Community due to this wonderful park system. More than 1,000 acres have been preserved at 50 parks located throughout the community.
It is one of the oldest communities in Ohio and although the city and township are separate political entities, they are often accepted as a single residential community and together they cover 32 square miles and is located in southern Montgomery County (south of the City of Dayton).
The community has a wonderful Rec Center (Washington Township Recreation Center) that has an indoor pool, exercise classes, gyms, a climbing wall, and classes/activities for toddlers to seniors.
Centerville/Washington Twp is also home to Yankee Trace, a public, city-owned 27-hole champion golf course. It also boasts a beautiful 32,000-square-foot clubhouse with its own restaurant. Great place for a business meeting or a wedding reception! The restaurant hosts seasonal dinner events and a popular brunch every Sunday.
Rich in history, the uptown area of Centerville/Washington Twp. is known for the largest collection of early stone buildings in the state of Ohio. However, you will find lots of new housing communities in addition to the established neighborhoods.
